Walking in the shoes of an adventurer

5/5
Read time : 5 min

The comfort of a hotel room, the luxury of savouring a 4-course meal or the privilege of relaxing in a wellness area: these are not on the programme for the next 3 days.

For a simple holiday immersed in the Vosges Mountains, we instead opt for nature hikes in good company and authentic mountain accommodation. It promises to be an enriching adventure filled with encounters and discoveries.

Massif des Vosges - Accompagnateur en montagne

In both summer and winter, the guides of the Vosges Mountains offer outings and activities that everyone will enjoy.

For a well-guided hike

Such passion! The guides that organise our nature hikes (women, men, young and old) are nature professionals that share their love for the mountain as they guide us along the paths of the Vosges. Their knowledge of plants and wildlife are a gold mine for our curious minds.

Why hike with a mountain guide?

Anyone can organise a hike, but alongside a professional, we get the chance to observe and rediscover nature. The mountain guide shares valuable information with us about wildlife, vegetation and even geology.

Massif des Vosges - Refuge du Sotré.

The Night of the Refuges is an event organised in June in the Vosges Mountains. 5 mountain refuges open their doors for a .night, and guests can enjoy a meal and diverse entertainment

Sleep in a mountain refuge

Let it be known: sleeping in a refuge is a really cool experience. The friendliness of the locals warms our hearts and the atmosphere is truly exceptional. With our batteries recharged by everyone’s good spirits, we head out to continue our hike on the GR5.

A starry hike on the Hohneck

At twilight we follow our guide up to the summit of the resort to admire the stars. A bit later, we enjoy dinner in a mountain hut. On the menu: local products with mountain flavours – a true delight after our walk under the stars.

Survival mode activated

What better way to push your limits than on a thrilling nature course in the Vosges Mountains? For 2 days and 1 night, the guides of the Ballon d’Alsace teach us how to set up camp, start a fire, and more. This holiday is also available for adventurous families looking for a “gentle” survival course.

Several courses are available depending on the season and the participant’s age and goals.
